One Saturday in 2002, Louise ushered Alistair out to look after the children and perhaps have a coffee, to give her some peace and quiet. He returned having bought a farmyard in Ditchling, East Sussex,  with planning permission for several houses... after Louise's initial shock had subsided, so began

However, previous personal and professional experience gave them an advantage.
